About Bread & Butter Hospitality

Who We Are

Bread & Butter Hospitality has created some of Staten Island’s most beloved restaurants. Our family of restaurants offers outstanding food, drink and a truly unique atmosphere at each one of our restaurants, all delivered with our signature warmth and hospitality.

Founded by Chef/Owner Peter Botros with the opening of The Stone House at Clove Lakes in 2014, our company has expanded to ten restaurants in the New York City area and even expanded to the Catskills.

Our Community

Bread & Butter Hospitality strives to make a positive impact, both within and beyond the confines of our restaurants. We firmly believe that by extending our warm hospitality to the communities we serve, we not only enrich our own culture but also fortify our business.

Bread & Butter Hospitality has long supported our community and neighbors through fundraising events and is the proud recipient of many awards and accolades for our distinct style of hospitality, including distinctions by The James Beard Foundation and The New York Wine & Food Festival.

Bread & Butter Hospitality has made one of the largest donations to Staten Island University Hospital's Florina Cancer Center and have pledged to continue our support by increasing our commitment to $500,000.

How It All Began

2014 October

The stone house

Peter Botros opened The Stone House at Clove Lakes in 2014 at the age of 28. The historic Stone House at Clove Lakes is a charming cottage with stunning lakefront and woodland views, gorgeous grounds and indoor and outdoor private events space.

2016 February

The Chef's Loft

Peter Botros opens a Restaurant within a Restaurant at the Stone House at Clove Lakes. Guests ascend a spiral staircase to the loft for an intimate 5 course wine paired dinner prepared tableside by Chef Botros. This very special experience is offered monthly, with menus permanently retired after each meal.

2017 November

Violette's Cellar

Peter Botros, along with Philip Farinacci and Marc Zurlo open Violette's Cellar as a tribute to their moms, Violette Botros, Sally Curtis and Andrea Zurlo who lost their brave fight with cancer.

2018 November

Binnekill Tavern

Our family of restaurants expands to the Catskills with the opening of the Binnekill Tavern located in Margaretville, NY situated atop the Binnekill Stream.

2019 January

Sofia's Taqueria

Sofia’s Taqueria, Staten Island’s first Taco & Tequila Bar was born on Bay Street.

2019 December

Sofia's Guac Bar

Sofia’s Guac Bar, a quick serve kiosk serving Sofia's Taqueria's favorites, opened in The Staten Island Mall.

2020 January

Tito Bandito's

Our second location in the Catskills offers awesome mexican cusine. Tito Bandito's is a Taco and Tequila Bar located in Pine Hill NY.

2020 June

Rustic Pizza & Pasteria

In June 2020, mid pandemic, Rustic Pizza & Pasteria, where everything is made from scratch, opened in Grant City. Rustic Pizza & Pasteria specializes in authentic Italian dishes, specialty pies, homemade artisan pasta and catering for every occasion.

2020 September

Sally's Southern & BBQ

Paying special homage to Philip Farinacci's mother after she lost her brave fight with cancer, Sally's favorite recipes and even her handwriting are integrated into our Southern Comfort & BBQ menu.

2021 September

SOFIA'S TAQUERIA AMBOY LOCATION

Sofia's Taqueria opened its second location serving the Eltingville community. Featuring an extra long bar, indoor & covered outdoor seating and private event space.

2022 September

SOFIA'S GUAC BAR EXPANSION

The Staten Island Mall location expanded to a larger, permanent location in the center food court. Featuring signature margaritas, sangria and beer as well as Sofia's Taqueria's favorite Mexican dishes to take out or enjoy in our designated seating area or at the bar.

2023 May

SOFIA'S GUAC BAR FOREST LOCATION

Sofia's Guac Bar opens its second location with indoor and outdoor seating, an inside bar, a walk-up margarita window and private party space.
