Philip Farinacci
Philip Farinacci's has been in the the real estate business for more than 40 years, first starting as a sales agent, becoming a broker and then opening his own office.
As he progressed through the brokerage business, Phil began to purchase run down properties and fix and flip them. He soon graduated to build new construction one and two family houses. While always desiring to create new businesses and keeping his eyes open to different opportunities, Phil opened a compact disc store, followed by a large restaurant in a commercial center he was developing. He then opened and ran a nightclub for several years, all while still building houses. Phil also partnered in a patent and trademark business with offices around the country. With a desire to focus on building houses, Phil sold his interest in his businesses and continued to develop real estate in Staten Island and Brooklyn. Expanding from Staten Island into the Catskills was the next step.
Phil met Peter Botros seven years ago and together with Marc Zurlo they opened Violette’s Cellar. In 2020, Sally's Southern & BBQ on Forest Avenue was named as an homage to Phil's mom Sally Curtis. Her presence is evident throughout the restaurant with her Live, Love, Laugh mantra on the wall and her handwriting and favorite recipes included on the menu. Never predicting Bread & Butter Hospitality would grow so large, Phil is happy to announce that in addition to the group’s ten current restaurants, there are four new restaurants under development in Staten Island, New Jersey and the Catskills! Phil is also part owner of Bifulco's Pickle Works, a major restaurant and wholesale food supply business that is growing rapidly and will soon expand outside of Staten Island.
Phil's philosophy for his restaurants, in addition to great food in comfortable surroundings, is giving back to the community. It is wonderful to feel he has helped make a difference by supporting local charities and is thrilled to have, through Violette's Cellar, made one of the largest donations to SIUH's Florina Cancer Center, having surpassed the original goal by raising more than $350,000 at a single recent event. Phil and his group pledge to continue support for the future. #FVCKCANCER!
